CHOIR, Giuseppe Reggiori

Pianist, harpsichordist, and choir conductor, he graduated with honors from the Parma Conservatory and further refined his skills with L. Romanini, M.L. Franco, S. Fiorentino, and P. Guarino (piano), as well as L. Larsen, T. Kaljuste, K. Suttner, F. Bernius, G. Graden, and F. Heyerich (choral conducting). He also studied composition with G. Manca and orchestral conducting with F. Gallini, G. Khun, and E. Simon.

He maintains an intense concert activity as a choir and orchestra conductor and a harpsichordist with Gli Speziali. This ensemble performs on period instruments or historically accurate replicas. He has collaborated with I Pomeriggi Musicali, LaVerdi, MiTo, Piccolo Teatro Regio di Torino, La Divina Armonia, La Risonanza, Orchestra da Camera di Engelberg, Bozen Antiqua, Musica Senensis, Festival Internazionale di Stresa, Gioventù Musicale Italiana, La Cappella Musicale, Musica nelle Residenze Storiche, Festival Barocco de Gli Speziali, Stagione Comunale di Varese, Musica intorno al fiume (Associazione Serassi), Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario, Festival InCanto a Varese, Uni.Mi, Yale University in New Haven (USA), the State Symphony Orchestra of Oradea (Romania), Solisti della Moldavia (Romania), Orchestra de Las Fronteras Abiertas (Mexico), and other prestigious institutions.

He conducts Il Diletto Moderno, an ensemble specializing in historically informed performances of 17th- and 18th-century repertoire. He has won multiple awards both as a pianist and a choir conductor, including the F. Gaffurio Prize for three consecutive years, as well as the Gran Premio Gaffurio, a special award for choirs that had previously won in past editions of the Gaffurio National Competition in Quartiano (Lodi).

He won first prize at the International Competition of Tortona and is regularly invited to serve on juries for piano and choral competitions. He was also a jury member for the music sector at the Calendimaggio festival in Assisi.

He has recorded for Sonitus and Urania Records and has made broadcasts for Rai Radio3.
