PIANO AND CHAMBER MUSIC, Michele Fedrigotti

The Chianti in Music course is dedicated to in-depth reading of scores, aimed at understanding the specific characteristics and meaning of the pieces and their consequent good performance. This is achieved by progressively defining the vision of the works, based on "creative listening" and a detailed analysis of the text, together with composition and meaning, thus observing the relationship between musical thought and its realisation in the instrumental gesture and study methodologies, from visualisation and memorisation to the various aspects of the practice on the instrument. Special attention is devoted to "recitar suonando", which inextricably links rhetoric, as the art of saying, to theatre and the "dramaturgical" aspects of musical writing in its modes and times of expression.
While the main focus of the course is on pianists, it welcomes participants who play any instrument or belong to chamber music ensembles. Additionally, for those interested, there will be a designated time for group singing - creating a small choir.
