He graduated at age 17 in violin and viola with top marks, distinction and honourable mention at the Conservatorio ‘N. Piccinni’ in Bari, the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome and the Hochschule der Künste in Bern. He received the Sinopoli Prize from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano.

He studied Literature and Poetry at A. Baricco's Holden School and has lectured for the Chair of Latin Literature at the University of Bari. He has been on the AIV board and collaborates with Music Full Coaching.

He has won numerous competitions and awards, such as Vittorio Veneto, Palmi, Castrocaro-Migliori diplomati d'Italia, Società Umanitaria in Milan, Premio Geminiani, Ibla Grand Prize-New York, Premio F. Gulli and was awarded prizes in the V. Gui in Florence and Pinerolo, as well as Tertis in the UK.

Since 2010, he has been a member of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony, and the Teatro Real de Madrid invited him as the first violist.

He teaches at the Accademia della Scala.

He has performed as a soloist for Rai Radio3 Suite, Prague Radio, Irish Radio, Swiss Radio and Television, the Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Carnegie Hall in New York, Boston Auditorium, Auditorium Santa Cecilia-Parco della Musica, Società dei Concerti, and Società del Quartetto in Milan, Switzerland, France, Japan, and South America.

He has performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante first with Marco Rizzi and then with Salvatore Accardo and the ORT orchestras of Padova and Veneto, Hindemith's Der Schwanendreher with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Bruch's Romanza with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Biel (Ch), Bartok's concerto with the HKB Orchester of Berne (Ch), the Concertino in Eb major by Rolla with the Musici di Parma and then with the Orchestra da camera Polledro of Turin and his Variazioni su temi di Rossini for viola and orchestra at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and then with the Camerata Bern, the Orchestra Sinfonica Metropolitana di Bari, the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese.

He collaborates with La Casa della Poesia di Milano - Mondadori.

He plays the early 20th-century Riccardo Antoniazzi viola, which the Antonio Carlo Monzino ETS Foundation granted him on a free loan.
