Born in Zagreb, Croatia, she began studying the cello at the Belgrade School of Music. After moving to Italy, she continued her studies under the guidance of Maestro Christian Bellisario, and in June 2001, she graduated with top marks from the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Como.
She continued her specialisation at the W. Stauffer Academy in Cremona and specialised in chamber music at the “S. Cecilia” Academy in Rome, in Maestro Rocco Filippini's class. In 2007, she obtained a second-level academic diploma in baroque cello at the Conservatorio di Milano ‘G. Verdi’. She also participated in various masterclasses by M. Kliegel, A. Kniazev, E. Schoenfield, E. Dindo, K. Georgian, A. Liebermann and C. Richter.
She won first prize at the Stresa International Competition in the soloist section (1995) and first prize in the chamber music section (1995, 1996). She has participated in numerous national competitions in the former Yugoslavia, winning several prizes. In 2005, she was one of the finalists at the ‘M. Fiorindo’ International Chamber Music Competition in Turin, in a duo with piano.
She participated in numerous productions at Teatro alla Scala in Milan after successfully auditioning for the orchestra professor course at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala.. Among the most important ones: Mozart's ‘Così fan tutte’ under the baton of O. Dantone in November 2007, Donizetti's ‘Le convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali’ under the baton of M. Guidarini and directed by A. Albanese in October 2009 and Mendelssohn's ‘Sogno di una notte di mezza estate’ in September 2009.
During these years, she also started a long collaboration with the Orchestra of the University of Milan, where she held the role of cello concertino from 2006 to 2014. She has collaborated with various orchestras and numerous chamber ensembles: Cameristi della Scala, I Solisti di Pavia, Le Cameriste Ambrosiane, Eutopia Ensemble, Microensemble, Trio 900K, the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Verdi of Milan, Orchestra Stabile di Como, Stresa Festival Orchestra, Orchestra UECO of Milan, Orchestra Filarmonica del Conservatorio di Milano (where she held the role of first cello in 2003 and 2004).
In 2004, she passed the audition for the ‘Mahler Jugend Orchester’ conducted by Maestro Claudio Abbado. On several occasions, she has collaborated with the Italian Opera and Concert Association (As.Li.Co) on the ‘Opera domani’ project. In 2003 and 2004 she participated in the European tour with the string orchestra ‘Karmelos’. Since 2006 she has collaborated permanently with the Divertimento Ensemble, performing numerous concerts in Italy and abroad and participating in important music festivals such as the Cervantino Festival in Mexico, the Venice Biennale, Festival Slowind Slovenia, MITO International Music Festival in Milan and Turin, Ravenna Festival, Festival ‘Time of Music’ Finland.
She is qualified to teach cello using the Suzuki method and is intensively dedicated to teaching children from pre-school age. She currently teaches at the Suzuki Music Centre in Milan. She speaks English, Italian and Serbian-Croatian fluently and loves the theatre and long walks in the mountains.
